Welcome to Detention!

Although it should technically be held in the school auditorium, detention is being held at the gym for reasons unknown. The floors here are smooth and sparkling clean, but they seem as if they will scratch and be dirtied quite easily. There are chairs stacked on one side of the gym, ready to be sat upon by unlucky guests. All the gym equipment is currently locked in the gym supply closet.

A few television monitors sit stacked on top of one another against one of the walls, all of which display scenes and audio from the classroom of love.

DAY 1 / NIGHT 1

( As there is no one here, there are no "fun" objects or activities.

The television monitors are on, however, as if someone is recording everything that is happening... )

DAY 2

( Welcome, dear victim!

Our detention special today is a set of games... really old games. Since there is only one of you (?), there is a single arcade machine that lets you choose between three games: Frogger, Pacman, and Minesweeper.

You can hear an upbeat tune from the speakers located on the walls of the gym. The music is on a continuous loop, and there does not seem to be a way to turn it off.

There is also a small table with a big plate of... what appears to be bear meat. It is accompanied by a bowl of tortilla chips and a cup of melted cheese. A meal, just for you!

Something tells you that although you were the only one sent to detention today, you are not the only one here... )

[ Yup, you're definitely not alone. A certain host is nearby, staring with obvious excitement at the new addition of the arcade machine. ]

An arcade game...! I haven't played on one for a while!

[ Maybe she's a little too excited about this... ]

NIGHT 2

( Welcome, dear new victim!

Detention is now home to a brand new two-person Dance Dance Revolution machine! Both the DDR and arcade machines now spew out tokens whenever someone does well in a game. Hopefully, you'll still enjoy them despite the never-ending music from the speakers... They're belting out the the song from earlier today, but they occasionally interrupt the ongoing party with a different song.

The bear meat and nachos that were on the small table're now gone, but don't despair! An advent calendar filled with small chocolates is sitting in the middle of the table, next to a tiny plate of Chicken Whizees.

The other new addition to detention can be found on the other side of the room. There, you can find a booth with an overhead sign that says "PLACE YOUR BETS". Apparently, you can use your new tokens here, but that can wait until after you've seen the paper taped onto the side of the booth. No matter how you look at it, it looks like a list of rules...

[This game is very different and very strange compared to the cute ones in the arcade box, but Morgan will CONQUER IT ALL. THE COAT IS OFF and Morgan is jamming to tasteful music with as much skill as a complete newbie to DDR is expected to have. I.e., he is not very good at it yet, but what he lacks in skill, he makes up for in A+ effort. Sadly, he fails the song at the very end.]

[By the time he's earned enough tokens to make a healthy bet, Morgan has heard enough of the background songs to know them by heart. He sings along idly as he scribbles his guesses down.]

( Welcome, victims - old and new!

Detention feels... crowded, today. Not due to an influx of people, no - it's due to a large number of bean bag chairs. They're literally all over the gym.

The bean bag chairs have kigurumi [in this case, onesies] draped over them. They're quite soft to the touch, so they'll definitely make very comfy pajamas! There're a huge variety of designs and sizes, so feel free to try on whichever ones you want.

There's brand new music playing today, which seems to be about pork and best friends. It's quite catchy, after you've listened to it for over 15 minutes...

On the small table - or the food table, as we call it - there is a big bowl of salad! The only dressing available is ranch, but there're plenty of croutons and bacon bits to go around. )

[It's for the best that they're being fed greens today. All that meat and junk food over the past two days probably wasn't the most balanced diet out there. For now, Morgan is nestled in a bean bag with a bowl of salad in his lap and a clear view of the monitors. No kigurumi for him yet (it's a little too cutesy even for him...), but his armor is laid out neatly nearby. He has a feeling he's going to want to stay comfy. It's getting pretty heated out there today...]

NIGHT 3

( Welcome to detention, new victim!

Today's menu consists of an apparently unlimited amount of cotton candy. Lots of different flavors, too. The catch? Batches of it...are everywhere. Not in a way that's unsanitary, but no matter where you look, you're gonna get an eyeful of cotton candy. Here's hoping you at least like it a teensy bit! If you'd rather have chocolate from the advent calendar, however, you won't find it anywhere. It somehow poofed into thin air? Or was taken by someone while no one was looking. But the former sounds much more fun, no?

As for the non-food related decor... Aside from the arcade machines and the betting booth, everything you could ever want and need for a game of Pictionary is available! Maybe someone's up for a game? But if no one's up for it, maybe you'd like to listen to some music instead? Like clockwork, the music has changed to include a new song. Something seems different about it though... )

NIGHT 3

[It's good to be so relaxed, but Morgan can't let his brain rot while he's lazing about. What would Mother say...! So if you're looking for him, he'll be next to the Pictionary stuff with an open text on battle tactics (voluminous robes are handy for stashing) and drawing numerous battle formations on a piece of paper. Every once in a while, he reaches for a poof of cotton candy.

He's not beyond playing some actual Pictionary, though. Because games.]

I hope the delinquent contacts us soon...

DAY 4

( Hello and welcome, new victims! And old victims. All the victims!

Today's menu is similar to the one your classmates're having at cafeteria this afternoon. You're having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! There's a pitcher of water somewhere in the gym, in case you need it. We just don't know its exact location.

Most of the cotton candy has been swept up, but some of the bean bags are still seriously sticky. While the arcade and DDR machines and the betting booth are all still here, there's a new attraction today! A pink dunking machine is set up against one of the walls. There's a pipe next to it that's plopping out a certain pink and white stuffed toy, and another pipe within the machine that removes and dries them. If you keep dunking these, a different stuffed toy might plop out instead! You can also get tokens from this machine. Somehow. Enjoy!

Oh, and one last thing - there's a plushie of a certain puppy on a clean table. Wonder who it's for? )

...well, that was a bust. At least the food really is better.

NIGHT 4

( Good afternoon, victims! Yes, all of you!

Today's musical theme is inspiration! And so, some inspiring music is playing through the speakers. Makes you want to go create and lead a country of your own, right?!

On the other hand, the gym looks quite strange today. There's something off about the table... but that's not all. Everything seems very... blocky? How curious...

There're some pizzas on the more-square-than-normal table! The pepperoni's a bit dry and the mushrooms're rather soggy, but it's quite edible. Still warm, too!

And lastly, there are also a large variety of books in detention today, presumably due to the arrival of the new victim. Enjoy! )

[Morgan's sitting at the table with a hoard of books piled around. A few of them are open and arranged rather haphazardly, but it seems like only one has his attention at the moment. A slice of pizza lies half-eaten and forgotten as he reads, looking one part horrified and one part fascinated.]

Not sure why they sent it to me of all people, since I've been here the least amount of time-- so... Any ideas?

DAY 5

( Merry Christmas, dear victims! What's that? Christmas is long over?

Well, someone must've not gotten the memo. The speakers're playing Christmas carols non-stop - commercial free, even! The furniture's now back to normal, but there're Christmas decorations all over the gym. Everything is very red and green and silver and gold and absolutely full of Christmas cheer! Looks like someone brought out their whole Christmas arsenal... there must've been a sale at a dollar store. Look at all that shiny tinsel!

Your menu for this morning is traditional breakfast cereal with some warm milk! And slices of fruit cake, if you'd like to try some. They don't seem as if there's anything wrong with them, but you know what they say about fruit cake... They last forever.

Also, the gym is quite warm today, to save everyone's armpits. Keep them safe and away from a certain someone... )

[ Seriously, not going back there for awhile. Nope, nope. ]

[ She'll just be playing at the arcade machines for a while, yup. ]

[ After being kicked into the void by Saionji, Komaeda finally reappears...in the air of the gym.

...Which is terribly unfortunate for whoever happens to be standing under him at the time, since he's actually pretty tall and all. ]

[Hiro'omi looks rather cheerful for someone who's dead in detention. It's been a while since he's skipped club activities, so it's nice to go back to routine. Plus, his sister is here (a warm leer is thrown her way), and he doesn't have to worry about trust and votes anymore. There can be no downside to this detention business.

He surveys the place with vague interest before waving hello to everyone else in the gym. Then he goes for something he's had his eye on since the got here: the warm milk.]

NIGHT 5

( Nyanyanyanyanyanyan, victims! Hmm? What's with the look on your faces...? You don't speak cat?

It looks like somebody managed to take down most of the Christmas decorations, although there're still some left here and there. Instead, there's something else that will catch your attention - balls of yarn, in every color! They even come with a variety of knitting needles. Someone may be out to impress the latest victim, as there're knitted kittens everywhere around the gym. To accompany these kittens, the music has also changed to something more fitting (?).

Additionally, you'll notice some glow-in-the-dark stars if you look up at the ceiling! It's almost like you're outside, right? Right?!

The snack for this afternoon is warm mashed potatoes with gravy! Do you think it was made from leftover potatoes from earlier...? )

[What's this? More soft stuff to sleep on? Just kidding... maybe. Either way, Morgan does not know how to knit, so the balls of yarn are not for him. He does, however, gather as many knitted kittens as he can gather in his arms and deposits him at the table, where he begins to stack them into a pyramid as high as he can manage. In time, the pyramid gets so high that he needs a chair to reach the top.

Don't talk to him.

This is his mission now.]

DAY 6

[ Good morning, victims!

Today, in celebration of having over half the class in detention (you'd think the teachers would've noticed something by now), baloney sandwiches are on the menu. Condiments of all kinds can be found scattered throughout the gym, including a few unlabeled ones. Care to try your luck?

As for the gym itself, a part of it has been converted into a bowling alley, complete with cutely decorated pins and heavy balls. Just in case something happens, your hosts will be on standby with first aid kits... but do you really want Saionji to perform first aid on you? Do you? Of course not. So, take extra care to not accidentally hit each other with those bowling balls!

If you knock all the pins down with your first ball, you'll be able to choose a fresh ingredient (for cooking) as your prize! There's a small kitchen in the corner of the gym, decked out with all the cooking utensils you'll ever need. Who's all this for? The newest arrival to detention, of course!

Keeping up with the sports theme, the music today is full of the Olympic spirit! It's just a shame that bowling's no longer a part of the Olympics... let us have a moment of silence in its honor. ]
